So...here it is, homecoming week. And all of the excitement and fun activities that along with it all. We have fun games and activities during lunch every day, as well as the big assembly on Friday. It should be fun.
Here is the question I have for you guys. What other fun activities would you like to see for the students during homecoming? This is your chance to let the school leadership know what you think would be fun to try.
I think one fun thing for the students to do is to have a "white out" at the football game Friday night. For those of you who do not know what a "white out" is, it is where all of the students wear white shirts to the game. I think the other team would be so intimidated they wouldn't even want to play the game.
Let me know what you think, and let me hear your ideas. Remember it is our school and our homecoming. Let's all do our best to make it as good as it possibly can be.
GO LIONS!!!

  1. That is a good idea to have the entire student body suggest themes and vote for the dress up days. I will talk to Ms. Brumm about it.

  2. My Dad actually had the same idea about the "white out". That would be really cool. If everyone could spread the word or if it was an announcement maybe it would work. Also, I think that not alot of people are very school spirited. At the football games, in our student section there is only one group of people that are always there. And on our dress up days so far this week there hasn't been many people dressing up. We need a way to get more people full of school spirit.

  3. Since when did dressing up for certain themes equate to school spirit? In my opinion, school spirit is more than dressing up in nerd or basketball gear. In essence, school spirit is taking pride in what your school stands for. What does our school stand for? Schools are learning institutions. Thus, our school should stand for academics. School spirit isn't dressing the part of the nerd, it is actually being the nerd. This might sound distasteful to some, however it is true to a certain extent. Think about it. Do you really want to attend a school that is notorious for its ability to dress up in sports gear? Anybody can do that. Personally, I would like to go to a school that is well-known for its academics and intellectual ability.
